BACK BAND - 1-1/16 MODBB2 MCBB2 Back Band

Modern Backband Moulding

The finishing details are what make a room feel thoughtfully designed. 1-1/16 MODBB2 MCBB2 backband moulding adds a defined outer edge to door and window casing, bringing depth and a more complete frame to each opening.

A backband is a separate trim profile fitted along the outside edge of casing. Depending on its shape, it wraps over or sits against that edge, building out the surround without replacing the entire casing.

For a clean modern aesthetic, pair this backband with flat or minimally detailed casing. Paint both pieces the same color for a seamless layered finish, or match the wall color for a quieter architectural effect. Repeat the combination across doors and windows and coordinate it with simple baseboards.

Before ordering

Dry-fit the backband against your casing before fastening. Check the profile fit, edge thickness, and surrounding wall clearance, then plan neat corner joints and allow for cutting waste.
